Lady Gaga has been the source of several controversies during her career as a mega-pop-star. Her sense of style being one of them. Personally, I absolutely love her. In my opinion, anyone who uses their fame to inspire their millions of fans in a positive way is fine by me. Her speaking out against homophobia is just one of the things I admire about her. She is so overwhelmingly positive, creative and a total shining light in a world full of celebrities who say things like ‘nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels’. Her album Born This Way helped me through a difficult time in my life. The video for Marry The Night still gives me goose bumps. (I’ve literally watched it over 500 times.) She is one of my biggest inspirations. There are so many reasons to list the it would take me all night to write this post.
Her style is pretty… wild. But personally, I love that! She tries to be a literal interpretation of her music, a living work of art. I think that comes through pretty obviously in some of her outfits more than others but that’s not to say that there’s not a message behind every one. Here’s some of my favourite looks of hers. She’s certainly one of the most daring and creative celebrities with regards to fashion that I’ve ever come across! I don’t know where she wore these outfits to or who the designers are, they’re just images I pulled from the web.
She says so many awesome, inspirational things. Here’s just a few…
“Don’t you ever let a soul in the world tell you that you can’t be exactly who you are.” – Lady Gaga
“You have to be unique, and different, and shine in your own way.” – Lady Gaga
“All that ever holds somebody back, I think, is fear. For a minute I had fear. [Then] I went into the [dressing] room and shot my fear in the face…” – Lady Gaga
“I want women — and men — to feel empowered by a deeper and more psychotic part of themselves. The part they’re always trying desperately to hide. I want that to become something that they cherish.” – Lady Gaga
“When I wake up in the morning, I feel like any other insecure 24-year-old girl. Then I say, ‘Bitch, you’re Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today.’” – Lady Gaga
“I just I felt like a freak, I guess what I’m trying to say is
I want to liberate them, I want to free them of their fears and make them feel that they can create their own space in the world.” – Lady Gaga
