Sleeping Beauty Salon Edinburgh bloggers event

I was invited to attend the Sleeping Beauty Salon in Edinburgh’s press and bloggers event which took place last night.

On my way. Wearing my IGIGI Geneva Wrap Dress from their Endless Summer collection.

The evening was awash with pampering as upon arrival I was swiftly offered a cocktail (which had been made from scratch by a mixoligist) and offered an array of treatments. I chose to have my nails done with a shellac manicure. I’ve really neglected my nails lately. I usually keep them painted and like to push my cuticles back and use the cuticle nippers on them but I just haven’t been doing it recently, so this manicure was a welcome treat!

The colour is so sweet. It’s called ‘Cake Pop.’ Pun intended.

Choosing the colour I wanted to go with was a pretty mammoth task though…

After I had my nails done and had begun to sip my way through my mojito, I had a little wander around the salon. It’s a very welcoming and relaxing environment. I’m quite a ‘girly girl’ and I like my pink sparkly things, but it was actually rather nice to be in a beauty salon that wasn’t overly decorated with stereotypically ‘girly’ things. The colour scheme consisted mostly of greens and there wasn’t a glittery butterfly in sight. Don’t get me wrong, I like butterflies! It’s just nice when people realise that all ladies aren’t into fluffy, sparkly, butterflies and love hearts.

One of the first things that caught my eye when I walked in…

We also got name badges.

Each blogger that was present was given a lovely gift bag. Inside it was a bottle of St Tropez Bronzing Mousse along with a St Tropez mitt, three beautiful and gorgeous smelling candles, a bag choc-full of Elemis products, a couple of chocolates, a face mask and a Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps soap. WELL SPOILED.

All in all, I had a lovely evening. Who wouldn’t with all that pampering? I’d definitely go back to the salon and would recommend it to my other fellow Scots.
